The app provides drivers with information about road conditions and what facilities are available along the routes. You can view information along a specific route or within an area you draw on the map.

The app features a mapping solution provided by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.

You can use it for:

• Search for a route, save it as a favorite, and receive alerts
• View nearby events based on your location
• Show height restrictions on the map
• Display traffic messages, webcams, and weather stations
• Select a vehicle type and receive customized information for that type
• Draw and save an area on the map and receive alerts
• Quickly access specific types of information by saving them as favorites (e.g., traffic messages, rest areas, and webcams)
• Retrieve previous alerts in an inbox

The information displayed on the map includes:

• Roadworks
• Closed roads
• Important messages
• Rest areas
• Charging stations
• Ferries
• Webcams with images and videos of weather and road conditions
• Custom vehicle height restrictions

One of the key tasks of the Public Roads Administration's Traffic App is to provide useful information for heavy vehicle drivers. You will also find overnight parking areas, some with cameras and image recognition to show available capacity (service expanding), and a route planner to help you find a legal route based on height restrictions and usage classes.
